Discovery Desktop

AbleLink’s Discovery Desktop is ideal for people who need a simplified Windows desktop. It is especially effective in classrooms or group living settings where two or more users have to share the same computer. Discovery Desktop masks the complexity of the traditional Windows desktop and allows you to create custom, single-click picture buttons for any application on the computer. The Discovery Desktop provides a picture-based log-in screen so that multiple users can each have their own unique desktop on a single computer. Discovery also “talks” to our other applications to let them know who the current user is, so that individualized editions of those programs can be created to adapt the user interface to their individual needs.

Discovery Desktop is available as part of the Computer & Web Access Suite or as part of the Smart Living Suite
